‘The Real Story’ Interview Series isn’t just an interview. It’s an experience. Join me as I explore the lives and stories of influential people in many different industries. I believe that everyone has an amazing story to share; full of ups, downs, twists and turns. And I know that you will feel exactly the same way, after listening to these interviews!
Jacob Sokol runs a website that is fittingly called Sensophy. “Sens” coming from the word “sense,” as in “to feel”. And “Sophy” coming from the Greek word: “Sophia,” which means wisdom. “Sensophy” emobides Jacob well, because he philosophizes as much as he lives life. Usually people either philosophize about life, or they actually live it. Jacob has a big-time New York swag in everything he does, and it’s one of the reasons I was drawn to his website.
He really isn’t afraid to express himself authentically in his writing and video blogs. He leads by example, and you’ll see what I mean when you check out this interview! Jacob also shared lots of excellent insight into living authentically, and how our greatest adversities have quite literally made us into the people that we are today.
Here is one of my favorite quotes from Jacob:
Don’t mistake your thoughts for who you are. Thoughts are nothing more than habits of the mind. You can create new habits in your mind the same way you can create them in your daily routines.
Here are 2 excellent blog posts from Jacob that we talked about during the interview:
